Noble Gas
Noble gases are a group of chemical elements with very low reactivity. In space and astronautical engineering, noble gases are used in various applications such as in electric propulsion systems, as a coolant in nuclear reactors, and as a pressurizing agent in rocket fuel tanks. Helium is the most commonly used noble gas in space applications due to its low atomic weight and high thermal conductivity. Xenon is also used in ion thrusters for spacecraft propulsion. Noble gases are also used in space telescopes to cool the detectors and reduce thermal noise. In addition, they are used in the analysis of extraterrestrial materials such as moon rocks and meteorites.
