Neutron Sources

Neutron sources are devices that produce neutrons for various applications in space and astronautical engineering. These sources can be either natural or artificial and can be used for a variety of purposes such as neutron radiography, neutron activation analysis, and neutron scattering. Natural sources of neutrons include cosmic rays and spontaneous fission of certain isotopes, while artificial sources include nuclear reactors, particle accelerators, and radioisotope neutron sources. Neutron sources are used in a variety of space applications such as radiation testing of spacecraft components, neutron imaging of planetary surfaces, and neutron activation analysis of extraterrestrial samples.
