Nacelle

In space and astronautical engineering, a nacelle is an aerodynamic enclosure that houses engines, fuel, or equipment on an aircraft or spacecraft. In aircraft, nacelles are typically mounted on the wings or fuselage and contain jet engines, while in spacecraft, they are often attached to the exterior of the vehicle and house equipment such as solar panels or scientific instruments. Nacelles are designed to reduce drag and improve the overall efficiency of the aircraft or spacecraft. They are often made of lightweight materials such as composites or aluminum to minimize weight and maximize performance.
