Thermal Radiators

Thermal radiators are devices used in spacecraft to dissipate excess heat generated by onboard systems and payloads. They work by emitting thermal radiation into space, which carries away the heat. Thermal radiators are essential for maintaining the temperature of a spacecraft within safe limits and preventing damage to sensitive equipment. They are typically made of lightweight materials such as aluminum or graphite, and are designed to be highly efficient in radiating heat. There are several types of thermal radiators, including deployable radiators, fixed-panel radiators, and heat pipes. Deployable radiators are designed to be folded up during launch and then deployed once the spacecraft is in orbit. Fixed-panel radiators are permanently attached to the spacecraft and cannot be retracted. Heat pipes are a type of thermal radiator that use a closed-loop system to transfer heat from one location to another. They are often used in conjunction with other types of radiators to provide additional cooling capacity.
