LNB

A Low-Noise Block Downconverter (LNB) is a device used in satellite communication systems to receive and convert the high-frequency signals received by the satellite dish into a lower frequency that can be transmitted through a coaxial cable. The LNB is typically mounted on the satellite dish and contains a low-noise amplifier, a frequency mixer, and a local oscillator. The low-noise amplifier amplifies the weak signals received by the dish, while the mixer and local oscillator convert the high-frequency signals to a lower frequency. The LNB also filters out unwanted signals and noise to improve the quality of the received signal.
