Liquid Cooling And Ventilation Garments

Liquid Cooling and Ventilation Garments (LCVG) are specialized clothing designed to regulate the body temperature of astronauts during extravehicular activities (EVAs) in space. These garments use a combination of liquid cooling and ventilation systems to remove excess heat generated by the astronaut's body and maintain a comfortable temperature inside the suit. The liquid cooling system circulates cool water through a network of tubes in the garment, while the ventilation system uses fans to circulate air and remove moisture. The LCVG is worn underneath the space suit and is connected to the spacecraft's environmental control system. The use of LCVGs has significantly increased the duration of EVAs and reduced the risk of heat stress and fatigue for astronauts.
