Liquid Cooling

Liquid cooling is a method of heat removal from components and systems in which a liquid is used to transfer heat away from a source such as a computer processor. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, liquid cooling is used to regulate the temperature of spacecraft components and systems. This is particularly important for spacecraft that operate in extreme environments such as those encountered during interplanetary missions. Liquid cooling systems typically consist of a pump, a heat exchanger, and a liquid coolant such as water or a specialized fluid. The coolant absorbs heat from the spacecraft components and is then circulated to the heat exchanger where it is cooled before being returned to the components. Liquid cooling is an effective method of heat removal and is commonly used in spacecraft design.
