Hydrogen Fusion

Hydrogen fusion is a nuclear reaction that occurs when two hydrogen isotopes, deuterium and tritium, combine to form a helium nucleus, releasing a large amount of energy in the process. This reaction is the basis for the energy production in stars, including our sun. In order to achieve hydrogen fusion on Earth, scientists and engineers are working on developing fusion reactors that can contain and control the extremely high temperatures and pressures required for the reaction to occur. The potential benefits of hydrogen fusion as a source of energy include its abundance, its lack of greenhouse gas emissions, and its potential to provide a nearly limitless supply of energy. However, the development of practical hydrogen fusion technology is still in its early stages and faces significant technical and economic challenges.
