Gravitational Waves Detection
Gravitational waves detection is the measurement of ripples in the fabric of spacetime caused by the acceleration of massive objects. These waves were first predicted by Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity and were detected for the first time in 2015 by the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO). The detection of gravitational waves has opened up a new field of astronomy, allowing scientists to observe the universe in a completely different way. It has the potential to provide insights into the nature of gravity, the origin of black holes and neutron stars, and the early universe.
