FM

Frequency Modulation (FM) is a method of transmitting information using a carrier wave by varying its frequency. In space and astronautical engineering, FM is commonly used in communication systems for spacecraft and satellites. FM offers advantages over other modulation techniques such as amplitude modulation (AM) in terms of noise immunity and signal quality. FM is also used in radar systems for tracking and imaging objects in space. In addition, FM is used in navigation systems such as the Global Positioning System (GPS) for accurate positioning and timing.
