Evaporator
In space and astronautical engineering, an evaporator is a device used to convert a liquid into a gas or vapor by heating it. Evaporators are commonly used in spacecraft thermal control systems to remove excess heat from the spacecraft and maintain a stable temperature. They work by circulating a coolant through a heat exchanger, which absorbs heat from the spacecraft and transfers it to the evaporator. The coolant then evaporates and is vented into space, carrying the excess heat away from the spacecraft. Evaporators are also used in life support systems to recycle water and other liquids by evaporating them and condensing the vapor back into a liquid for reuse.
