Engine Failure

Engine failure is a critical event that occurs when the propulsion system of a spacecraft or aircraft stops functioning properly. This can be caused by a variety of factors, including mechanical failure, fuel depletion, or damage to the engine. Engine failure can have serious consequences, including loss of control, loss of altitude, and even loss of life. In space, engine failure can be particularly dangerous, as there is no atmosphere to provide lift or drag, and the spacecraft may be traveling at high speeds. To prevent engine failure, spacecraft and aircraft are designed with redundant systems and safety measures, such as backup engines, emergency procedures, and regular maintenance checks.
