EMC

EMC stands for Electromagnetic Compatibility. It is the ability of a system, equipment, or device to function properly in its electromagnetic environment without causing or suffering unacceptable electromagnetic interference. In space and astronautical engineering, EMC is a critical factor in the design and operation of spacecraft and their subsystems. The harsh electromagnetic environment of space can cause interference with the operation of spacecraft electronics, communication systems, and sensors. Therefore, EMC testing and analysis are essential to ensure the reliability and safety of space missions. EMC standards and regulations are also developed to ensure that spacecraft and their subsystems meet the required levels of electromagnetic compatibility.
