Electrolysis System

An electrolysis system is a device that uses an electric current to drive a non-spontaneous chemical reaction. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, an electrolysis system is used to split water into its constituent elements, hydrogen and oxygen, through the process of electrolysis. This is a critical technology for space exploration as it allows for the production of breathable oxygen and rocket fuel from water resources found on other planets or moons. The system typically consists of an electrolysis cell, which contains an anode and a cathode separated by an electrolyte, and an external power source to provide the necessary electric current.
