Electrical Current

Electrical current is the flow of electric charge through a medium. In space and astronautical engineering, electrical current is a fundamental concept that is used in the design and operation of spacecraft and other space systems. Electrical current is used to power spacecraft systems, including communication systems, scientific instruments, and propulsion systems. The flow of electrical current is also used to control the orientation and position of spacecraft in orbit. Electrical current is measured in amperes (A) and is defined as the rate of flow of electric charge past a given point in a circuit. In space, electrical current can be affected by the space environment, including radiation and magnetic fields, which can cause disruptions and damage to spacecraft systems.
