Dynamic Compressors

Dynamic compressors are mechanical devices used to compress gases and vapors in order to increase their pressure and density. They are commonly used in space and astronautical engineering applications, such as in rocket engines and gas turbine engines for aircraft propulsion. Dynamic compressors work by imparting kinetic energy to the gas or vapor, which is then converted into pressure energy as the gas or vapor is forced through a diffuser. The most common types of dynamic compressors used in space and astronautical engineering are centrifugal compressors and axial compressors. Centrifugal compressors use a rotating impeller to accelerate the gas or vapor, while axial compressors use a series of rotating and stationary blades to compress the gas or vapor. Dynamic compressors are critical components in many space and astronautical engineering systems, and their design and performance are carefully optimized to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
