Coordinates

Coordinates refer to a set of values that define the position of an object or location in space. In space and astronautical engineering, coordinates are used to specify the location of spacecraft, planets, stars, and other celestial bodies. The most commonly used coordinate system in space engineering is the Cartesian coordinate system, which uses three axes (x, y, and z) to define the position of an object in three-dimensional space. Other coordinate systems used in space engineering include the polar coordinate system and the spherical coordinate system. Coordinates are essential for navigation, trajectory planning, and communication with spacecraft. They are also used for mapping and studying celestial bodies and their movements. In addition, coordinates are used to define the location of ground-based tracking stations and other facilities that support space missions.
