Combined Cycle

Combined Cycle is a power generation technology that combines gas turbines and steam turbines to produce electricity. In this process, the exhaust heat from the gas turbine is used to generate steam, which is then used to power the steam turbine. The gas turbine operates on the Brayton cycle, while the steam turbine operates on the Rankine cycle. The combination of these two cycles results in a highly efficient power generation process, with efficiencies of up to 60%. Combined Cycle power plants are commonly used in the aerospace industry to power spacecraft and satellites, as well as in ground-based applications such as power generation for remote locations and emergency backup power systems.
