Alkaline Electrolyte

Alkaline electrolyte is a type of electrolyte that is commonly used in fuel cells and batteries. It is an aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide (KOH) or sodium hydroxide (NaOH) that conducts ions between the anode and cathode. Alkaline electrolytes have several advantages over other types of electrolytes, including high ionic conductivity, low cost, and long-term stability. They also have a high tolerance for carbon dioxide, which makes them ideal for use in space applications. Alkaline electrolytes are commonly used in spacecraft and satellites because they are able to operate at low temperatures and do not require expensive materials. They are also used in terrestrial applications, such as backup power systems and electric vehicles.
