Air Supply
Air Supply refers to the amount of breathable air that is required for human survival in space. In space, there is no atmosphere and therefore no air pressure. Astronauts need to carry their own air supply in order to breathe. This is typically done through the use of an Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) which provides a continuous supply of oxygen and removes carbon dioxide and other contaminants from the air. The amount of air supply required depends on the duration of the mission and the number of crew members. In addition to ECLSS, spacecraft also have backup systems in case of failure. Maintaining a sufficient air supply is critical for the success of any space mission.
