Wheels

In space and astronautical engineering, wheels refer to the rotating components that enable mobility of a spacecraft or a rover on a planetary surface. Wheels are designed to provide traction, stability, and control during movement. The design of wheels depends on the terrain and environment of the planetary body being explored. For example, wheels used on the Moon have to be designed to withstand extreme temperature variations and the abrasive lunar dust. Similarly, wheels used on Mars have to be designed to navigate the rocky and uneven terrain. The size, shape, and material of the wheels are critical factors that determine the performance and durability of the rover or spacecraft.
