Weather Satellite

A weather satellite is a type of satellite that is primarily used to monitor the weather and climate of the Earth. These satellites are equipped with various instruments and sensors that can measure different atmospheric parameters such as temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, cloud cover, and precipitation. The data collected by these satellites is used to create weather forecasts, track severe weather events such as hurricanes and typhoons, and monitor long-term climate trends. Weather satellites can be polar-orbiting or geostationary, depending on their orbit and mission requirements. Polar-orbiting satellites provide global coverage and collect data at different times of the day, while geostationary satellites remain fixed over a specific region and provide continuous coverage of that area.
