Vibration Dampers

Vibration dampers are devices used to reduce or eliminate unwanted vibrations in spacecraft and launch vehicles. These vibrations can be caused by a variety of factors, including engine combustion, aerodynamic forces, and mechanical resonances. Excessive vibrations can cause damage to sensitive equipment, affect the performance of the spacecraft or launch vehicle, and even endanger the crew. Vibration dampers work by absorbing or dissipating the energy of the vibrations, either through the use of materials with high damping properties or through the use of mechanical devices such as tuned mass dampers or active vibration control systems. The design of vibration dampers is a critical aspect of spacecraft and launch vehicle engineering, as it can significantly impact the success of a mission.
