Turbofan Engines

Turbofan engines are a type of gas turbine engine commonly used in aircraft propulsion. They work by using a fan to compress air, which is then mixed with fuel and burned in the combustion chamber. The resulting hot gases expand and pass through a turbine, which drives the fan and other engine components. Turbofan engines are known for their high bypass ratio, which means that a large amount of air bypasses the combustion chamber and is instead used to provide thrust. This results in a quieter and more fuel-efficient engine compared to other types of gas turbine engines. Turbofan engines are used in a wide range of aircraft, from small regional jets to large commercial airliners.
