Tropics

In space and astronautical engineering, the Tropics refer to the region of the Earth surrounding the equator, between the latitudes of 23.5 degrees north and 23.5 degrees south. This region is characterized by a warm and humid climate, with a high incidence of solar radiation and a low variation in daylight hours throughout the year. The Tropics are of particular interest to space and astronautical engineers due to their unique atmospheric and weather conditions, which can affect satellite and spacecraft operations, as well as launch trajectories and re-entry procedures. Additionally, the Tropics are home to many spaceports and launch facilities, including those in French Guiana, Brazil, and Malaysia.
