Tritium

Tritium is a radioactive isotope of hydrogen with one proton and two neutrons. It is commonly used as a fuel in nuclear fusion reactions due to its ability to produce large amounts of energy. In space and astronautical engineering, tritium is used as a fuel for nuclear-powered spacecraft and as a component in nuclear weapons. It is also used in the production of self-luminous devices such as exit signs and watches. Due to its radioactivity, tritium must be handled with care and proper safety measures must be taken to prevent exposure to humans and the environment.
