Thermal Stability
Thermal Stability refers to the ability of a spacecraft or its components to withstand and operate in extreme temperature conditions encountered during launch, in space, and during re-entry. The temperature conditions can range from extremely low temperatures in deep space to high temperatures during launch and re-entry. Thermal stability is critical for the survival and functionality of the spacecraft and its components. The spacecraft's thermal control system is responsible for maintaining the temperature within the acceptable range. The system can use various techniques such as insulation, heaters, radiators, and heat pipes to regulate the temperature. Thermal stability testing is conducted to ensure that the spacecraft and its components can withstand the temperature conditions they will encounter during the mission.
