Storage Tank

In space and astronautical engineering, a storage tank is a container used to store propellants, such as liquid hydrogen, liquid oxygen, or hydrazine, for spacecraft propulsion systems. These tanks are designed to withstand the extreme temperatures and pressures of spaceflight and are often made of lightweight materials, such as composites or aluminum alloys. The size and shape of the tank depend on the specific mission requirements and the type of propellant being stored. The tanks are typically pressurized to ensure that the propellant can be delivered to the engines at the required flow rate and pressure. In addition to propulsion systems, storage tanks are also used to store water, air, and other consumables needed for life support systems on spacecraft.
