Spread Spectrum

Spread Spectrum is a technique used in communication systems to spread the bandwidth of a signal over a wider frequency range than the minimum required bandwidth. This is achieved by modulating the signal with a code sequence known as a spreading code. The spreading code is a pseudo-random sequence that appears random but is actually deterministic. The receiver uses the same spreading code to despread the signal and recover the original information. Spread Spectrum has several advantages over narrowband communication systems, including increased resistance to interference and jamming, improved security, and the ability to share the same frequency band with multiple users. Spread Spectrum is used in many applications, including satellite communication, wireless networks, and GPS.
