Shrouds
In space and astronautical engineering, shrouds refer to protective covers or shields that are used to protect sensitive equipment or payloads from the harsh environment of space. Shrouds can be made from a variety of materials, including metal, fabric, or composite materials, and can be designed to withstand extreme temperatures, radiation, and micrometeoroid impacts. Shrouds are commonly used in spacecraft design to protect instruments, antennas, and other sensitive components from damage during launch and while in orbit. They can also be used to protect payloads during re-entry into the Earth's atmosphere. Shrouds are an important component of spacecraft design, as they help to ensure the safe and successful operation of space missions.
