Shielded Rooms
Shielded rooms are specially designed rooms that are constructed to block electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) from entering or leaving the room. These rooms are used in space and astronautical engineering to test and develop electronic equipment that is used in space missions. Shielded rooms are constructed using materials that are highly conductive and can absorb electromagnetic waves. The walls, ceiling, and floor of the room are lined with copper or other conductive materials, and the room is sealed with conductive tape or gaskets to prevent any leakage of electromagnetic waves. The doors and windows of the room are also specially designed to block EMI and RFI. Shielded rooms are used to test and develop electronic equipment such as antennas, transmitters, receivers, and other communication devices that are used in space missions.
