Seismograph
A seismograph is an instrument used to measure and record ground motion, including seismic waves caused by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other seismic sources. It consists of a ground-motion detection sensor, called a seismometer, and a recording device. The seismometer measures the motion of the ground and converts it into an electrical signal, which is then recorded by the device. Seismographs are used to study the Earth's interior, to detect and locate earthquakes, and to monitor volcanic activity. They are also used in the design of buildings and other structures to ensure their safety during earthquakes.
