Environmental Impact Assessments

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) are studies conducted to identify, predict, and evaluate the potential environmental impacts of a proposed project or development. The purpose of an EIA is to ensure that decision-makers consider the environmental impacts of a proposed project before deciding whether to proceed with it. EIAs typically include an analysis of the project's potential impacts on air and water quality, soil, wildlife, and human health, as well as an assessment of the project's potential to cause noise, vibration, or other disturbances. The EIA process also involves public consultation and the consideration of alternatives to the proposed project. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, EIAs are conducted for space missions, launch vehicles, and spaceports to ensure that they comply with environmental regulations and do not cause harm to the environment.
