Roll Axis

Roll Axis is an imaginary line passing through the center of a spacecraft and perpendicular to both the pitch and yaw axes. Rotation around this axis is called roll. The roll axis is an important concept in spacecraft attitude control, as it allows the spacecraft to change its orientation in three-dimensional space. The roll axis is typically controlled using reaction wheels or thrusters, which apply torque to the spacecraft to induce rotation around the roll axis. In addition to attitude control, the roll axis is also important for spacecraft stabilization during maneuvers and for maintaining a stable platform for scientific instruments.
