Redundant Power
Redundant power refers to the use of multiple power sources or systems in a spacecraft or satellite to ensure continuous and uninterrupted power supply. This is done to increase the reliability and safety of the spacecraft or satellite, as a single power source failure could result in mission failure or loss of the spacecraft. Redundant power systems can include redundant batteries, solar arrays, fuel cells, or power converters. These systems are designed to automatically switch to a backup power source in case of a failure in the primary power source. Redundant power is a critical aspect of spacecraft and satellite design, as it ensures that the mission can continue even in the event of a power failure.
