Pusher Plate
Pusher Plate is a component of a spacecraft propulsion system that is used to transmit the thrust force from the engine to the spacecraft structure. It is typically a flat, circular plate that is mounted at the aft end of the engine and is designed to withstand the high temperatures and pressures generated by the engine exhaust. The pusher plate is an important part of the propulsion system as it ensures that the thrust force is evenly distributed across the spacecraft structure, preventing any damage or deformation. In addition, it also helps to protect the engine from the harsh environment of space by providing a barrier between the engine and the rest of the spacecraft.
