Protostars

Protostars are the earliest phase of a star's life cycle, where a dense region of gas and dust in a molecular cloud collapses under its own gravity, forming a hot and dense core. As the core continues to collapse, it heats up and begins to emit infrared radiation. Eventually, the temperature and pressure at the core become high enough to initiate nuclear fusion, and a star is born. Protostars are difficult to observe directly, as they are often obscured by the surrounding dust and gas. However, they can be detected through their infrared emissions and radio waves.
