Composite Material

Composite materials are engineered materials made from two or more constituent materials with significantly different physical or chemical properties. These materials are combined to produce a material with characteristics that are different from the individual components. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, composite materials are widely used due to their high strength-to-weight ratio, thermal stability, and resistance to corrosion and fatigue. They are used in the construction of spacecraft, satellites, and launch vehicles, as well as in space suits and other equipment. Composite materials can be made from a variety of materials, including carbon fibers, glass fibers, and Kevlar fibers, as well as various resins and adhesives.
