Mobility Aids
Mobility aids are devices designed to assist individuals with limited mobility in performing daily activities. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, mobility aids are essential for astronauts to move around in microgravity environments and to perform tasks outside of the spacecraft during extravehicular activities (EVAs). These aids include spacesuits, jetpacks, and robotic arms, which provide support, stability, and maneuverability to astronauts. Spacesuits are designed to protect astronauts from the harsh environment of space and provide them with oxygen, temperature regulation, and communication systems. Jetpacks are used to provide short bursts of propulsion to astronauts during EVAs, allowing them to move around more easily. Robotic arms are used to manipulate objects and perform tasks that are difficult or impossible for astronauts to do manually. These mobility aids are critical for the success of space missions and the safety of astronauts.
