Mathematical Function


In space and astronautical engineering, a mathematical function is a relation between a set of inputs and a set of permissible outputs with the property that each input is related to exactly one output. Mathematical functions are used to model and describe various physical phenomena in space, such as the motion of celestial bodies, the behavior of electromagnetic waves, and the dynamics of spacecraft.
