Lunar Missions

Lunar missions refer to the various expeditions, both manned and unmanned, that have been sent to the Moon for scientific exploration, research, and to establish a human presence. These missions involve the use of spacecraft and launch vehicles designed to travel to the Moon, land on its surface, and return safely to Earth. Lunar missions have been conducted by various space agencies, including NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Soviet Union. The first successful manned lunar mission was the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, which saw astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin become the first humans to walk on the Moon. Since then, numerous other missions have been conducted, including the Apollo program, the Soviet Union's Luna program, and more recent missions such as China's Chang'e program and NASA's Artemis program, which aims to establish a sustainable human presence on the Moon.
