Neil Armstrong
Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut and aeronautical engineer who became the first person to walk on the Moon. He was the commander of the Apollo 11 mission, which successfully landed on the Moon on July 20, 1969. Armstrong's contributions to space exploration also include serving as a test pilot for many high-speed aircraft, including the X-15, and as a NASA astronaut, he flew on the Gemini 8 mission. After retiring from NASA, Armstrong taught aerospace engineering at the University of Cincinnati and served on the boards of several aerospace companies.
