Isotherms
In space and astronautical engineering, isotherms refer to the lines on a map or graph that connect points of equal temperature. Isotherms are used to study the thermal environment of spacecraft and their components, as well as to analyze the temperature distribution of planets and moons. By analyzing isotherms, engineers can design spacecraft that can withstand extreme temperatures and protect sensitive equipment from overheating or freezing. Isotherms are also used to study the thermal properties of materials and to develop new materials that can withstand the harsh conditions of space. In addition, isotherms are used to study the climate of planets and moons, and to understand the processes that drive weather patterns and atmospheric circulation.
