Injection Methods

Injection methods refer to the various techniques used to deliver propellants or other fluids into a rocket engine's combustion chamber. These methods can vary depending on the type of engine and the specific design requirements. Some common injection methods include pressure-fed, pump-fed, and staged combustion. In pressure-fed systems, propellants are forced into the engine using high-pressure tanks. Pump-fed systems use mechanical pumps to deliver propellants, while staged combustion systems use a combination of fuel-rich and oxidizer-rich preburners to generate high-pressure gases that drive the main turbopumps. The choice of injection method can have a significant impact on engine performance, efficiency, and reliability.
