Periodic Wave

In space and astronautical engineering, a periodic wave is a type of wave that repeats itself after a fixed interval of time. It is characterized by its amplitude, frequency, and wavelength. Periodic waves are commonly found in various space phenomena such as electromagnetic radiation, gravitational waves, and acoustic waves. The amplitude of a periodic wave is the maximum displacement of the wave from its equilibrium position, while the frequency is the number of cycles the wave completes in a given time. The wavelength is the distance between two consecutive points on the wave that are in phase. Periodic waves play a crucial role in space communication, as they are used to transmit information through various mediums such as radio waves and optical fibers.
