Imaging Sensors

Imaging sensors are devices that capture electromagnetic radiation and convert it into an electrical signal, which can be processed to form an image. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, imaging sensors are used to capture images of celestial bodies, spacecraft, and other objects in space. These sensors can operate in a variety of wavelengths, including visible light, infrared, ultraviolet, and X-rays, and can be mounted on spacecraft or used in ground-based telescopes. Imaging sensors are critical for scientific research, as they allow us to study the properties and behavior of objects in space, and for navigation and guidance, as they enable spacecraft to determine their position and orientation relative to other objects. They are also used for Earth observation, remote sensing, and surveillance applications.
