Health Problems

Health problems refer to any physical or mental conditions that can affect the well-being of astronauts during space missions. These problems can arise due to various factors such as microgravity, radiation exposure, isolation, confinement, and psychological stress. Some common health problems experienced by astronauts include bone loss, muscle atrophy, cardiovascular deconditioning, vision impairment, immune dysfunction, and psychological disorders. To mitigate these health problems, space and astronautical engineers design and develop various countermeasures such as exercise equipment, nutritional supplements, radiation shielding, and psychological support systems. Additionally, astronauts undergo rigorous medical screening and monitoring before, during, and after space missions to ensure their health and safety.
