Galileo Mission

Galileo Mission was a NASA spacecraft mission to study the planet Jupiter and its moons. The mission was launched in 1989 and ended in 2003. The spacecraft was equipped with various scientific instruments, including a camera, spectrometer, magnetometer, and plasma and particle detectors. During its mission, Galileo made several important discoveries, including evidence of a subsurface ocean on Jupiter's moon Europa and the first observation of a comet colliding with a planet (comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 colliding with Jupiter). The mission also provided detailed images and data on Jupiter's atmosphere, magnetic field, and moons, which greatly expanded our understanding of the Jovian system.
