Europa

Europa is one of the four largest moons of Jupiter and is considered one of the most promising places in the solar system to search for life beyond Earth. It is believed to have a subsurface ocean of liquid water, which is in contact with a rocky mantle and may contain more than twice the amount of water found on Earth. Europa's surface is covered in a layer of ice, which is thought to be around 10 kilometers thick, and is marked by fractures, ridges, and chaotic terrain. The study of Europa involves the use of spacecraft to explore its surface and subsurface, as well as the development of technologies to penetrate the ice and search for signs of life.
