Filter Topology

Filter Topology refers to the arrangement of filters in a spacecraft's communication system. It determines the order and type of filters used to prevent unwanted signals from interfering with the communication signals. The filter topology is designed to attenuate the unwanted signals while allowing the desired signals to pass through with minimum loss. The filter topology is critical in ensuring reliable communication between the spacecraft and the ground station, especially in the presence of strong interference sources such as the sun, other spacecraft, or natural sources. The filter topology is usually optimized based on the mission requirements and the available resources.
